    2. PVTG (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups) Overview:
      • According to the Office of the Registrar General of India (ORGI), the PVTG population is not in decline. This contrasts with the Parliamentary panel's state-wise data indicating a 40% reduction.
      • The Indian government's scheme for PVTGs is named "Pradhan Mantri Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan" (PM JANMAN).
      • There are 75 PVTG communities across 18 states. In Orissa, there are 15, in Andhra Pradesh 12, and one each in Rajasthan, Tripura, and Manipur.
      • According to the 2001 census, all four communities in the Andaman and one in Nicobar are PVTG.
    3. PM JANMAN Scheme:
      • The total corpus for PM JANMAN is ₹24,000 crore.
      • ₹15,000 crore is allocated for infrastructure development, including roads, water pipes, pucca homes, multipurpose halls, and hostels.
      • The scheme also includes Van Dhan Vikas Kendras and off-grid solar systems.
